It feels like just yesterday when I was preparing for the Michigan Women Forward WomanUp & Pitch competition and now, looking back, I can't help but be filled with pride and gratitude.

The journey leading up to the competition was a whirlwind of emotions and hard work. I remember feeling the pressure and driving myself a little crazy with perfectionism. You might recall when I accidentally spelled M-A-R-A-T-O-N instead of "marathon."(Click to read the perfectionism blog here!)

But every challenge and setback only pushed me further and made me more determined.

On the big day, I walked into the competition with a mix of nerves and excitement. The energy in the room was electric, filled with aspiring entrepreneurs, supportive individuals, and experienced professionals. The atmosphere was buzzing with creativity and innovation—a true celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit.

As the competition unfolded, I heard fantastic persuasive pitches and compelling business plans. Witnessing the passion and dedication of my fellow participants inspired me and fueled my own fire to succeed.

And succeed I did! I am thrilled to share that I took first place in the established business category and secured the $10,000 prize! Complete with a sweepstakes-style check and everything! It was a moment of pure elation, and I couldn't have done it without the incredible support of the Nakee Tribe and the unwavering belief in our mission.

This victory is not just mine; it's ours. It's a testament to the countless hours of hard work and unwavering determination that we have poured into Nakee Co. Together, we are unstoppable.

With the winnings, we are now poised to embark on an exciting new chapter at Nakee HQ. We have big plans to develop our next sensational spread—a product that will fuel high-performing humans like yourselves while helping maintain a feeling of calmness. Your support and enthusiasm have been invaluable to us, and we can't wait to share our new creation with you.

As I reflect on this journey, I'm reminded of the highs and lows of entrepreneurship.
